Course Description
What is the Magisterium? How do I know if something is taught by the Catholic Church? How do I know if something is infallible or could be reformed? Could two teachings contradict each other? What are the theological notes and how do they help me better understand what the church expects me to believe? These questions, and many more, will be answered in this course, the purpose of which is to help one develop a proficiency in identifying, weighing and interpreting Magisterial teachings. Additionally, this course will have a special focus on apologetics and practical discussions where a knowledge of the Magisterium is beneficial.

About the Lecturer
Michael is a graduate of Christendom College Graduate School of Theology where he received his Master of Arts in Theological Studies (Cum Laude) in 2018. He is currently working on a doctorate in Theology with Pontifex University and is writing a dissertation on the Magisterium of the Catholic Church. Michael has interviewed many of leading figures in contemporary theology. He is also an affiliate apologist with Catholic Answers.
